Accessing the iPQ Career Planner app

| You can download the app from the App Store either directly from your phone or via iTunes. The app is free but you have to pay if you want a copy of your iPQ Career Planner report. |

Once you have completed the iPQ, you can choose to request a Career Planner report for free.
You can lend the app to friends and family. Any additional iPQ Career Planner reports you wish to generate will also be free of charge. |
| Will the iPQ Career Planner app work on my iPad or iPod touch? |

| Yes, the app can be used on both iPad and iPod touch. Any iOS version after 3.0 is compatible. |
| How do I install the iPQ Career Planner iPhone app on my iPhone? | Top |
Using your iPhone:
Load up the App Store.
Search for ‘iPQ Career Planner’.
Select the iPQ Career Planner application.
Confirm that you wish to install the app by entering your iTunes password.
Press install.
The iPQ icon will appear on your iPhone desktop.
Using iTunes:
Go to the iTunes Store.
Search for 'iPQ Career Planner'.
You should see the iPQ Career Planner app.
Click on the 'Free' button to download to your library.

| Yes. Make sure you synchronise your iPhone/iPad with iTunes regularly and use the Transfer Purchase option in iTunes. Read here for more information. |
| How do I uninstall the app? | Top |
| On the main iPhone/iPad screen, press and hold the iPQ app icon until the icons start 'vibrating'. To delete the iPQ app, press the 'x' that appears on the iPQ icon. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the app, and whether you wish to rate it. |
Using the iPQ Career Planner App
| Is the app available globally? What languages can I use? | Top |
| You can purchase the app globally, but it is currently only available in International English. If there is enough demand, we may develop it in other languages. If you’d like to see it in your language, why not let us know on Facebook? |
| Why do I need to agree to the Data Protection Notice before I can use the app? | Top |
| The Data Protection Act requires SHL to get your approval to store and use your personal data (email, gender etc.) before you can complete the questionnaire. If you want to read the Data Protection Notice again, you can do so here. |
| Can I use the app more than once? | Top |
You can answer the questionnaire as many times as you like.
If you want a new Career Planner report, you can do so by taking the assessment again. You will be asked to confirm that you want to request the additional report upon completing the iPQ. |
| I started the iPQ but got interrupted. Do I have to start from question one again? | Top |
No, you can continue from where you paused the questionnaire. Simply click on Resume Assessment and confirm that you want to resume.
If you would rather restart the questionnaire, select Restart instead of Resume and you will begin at question one. |
Understanding the iPQ Career Planner Report
| I have completed the iPQ but do not want to request my iPQ Career Planner – what do I do? | Top |
You do not have to request and download the report. On the Request the iPQ Career Planner page, press Cancel to return to the main app page.
If you wish to request the iPQ Career Planner after cancelling, you can do this via the Report function by selecting your name and clicking on 'request'. This will take you back to the Request the iPQ Career Planner page, where you should click on Get Report. |
| If I decide to post a notification on Facebook or Twitter, does my iPQ Career Planner also get posted? | Top |
| No, this function simply puts a notification on your Facebook or Twitter page saying that you completed the iPQ; it will not attach your report or make any part of your results visible to anyone else. |
| I can’t read the iPQ Career Planner text on the iPhone. Is there another way I can read it? | Top |
| Once the report has been generated, you will be given the option of emailing the report to yourself. You do this from the Report area of the app: tap the Post button and select Email. It will automatically use the email address you entered when registering but you can change this if your wish. |
| My request to download the iPQ Career Planner was interrupted and I am not sure if I have successfully requested the report or not. How can I check? | Top |
If you lost your connection when you confirmed your request, you may need to go to the Report function. If you can see your report on this page it is likely that your download was successful.
If the status next to the report says Generate, tap on the status. This will download your iPQ Career Planner.
If the status next to the report says Request, tap on the status. This will check and confirm your request and confirm if you have successfully generated the report or not. When this confirmation appears your report will generate and be available for you to view.
If the report has not yet been requested you will be asked to confirm the generation of the report by clicking on Get Report on the Request the iPQ Career Planner page. |
| I have requested my iPQ Career Planner but the report is not available for me to view. | Top |
| If you lost your connection when the report was being created, you may need to go to the Report function and press Generate next to your report. This will download your iPQ Career Planner and you will not be charged again. |
